Together our long established and renowned 200 hour program, plus our exciting new advanced teacher 300 hour program allow you to register with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour leve ofl recognition. Both programs are approved by the Yoga Alliance and adhere to their guidelines for Registered Yoga Schools.

You know, from your 200-Hour Teacher Training, the basics of giving your students an intelligent and effective yoga class. One thing you've probably come to recognize is that students can have a wide variety of needs and that there is not one size of yoga that fits everyone. Perhaps you have a desire to take your practice and teaching to the next level?

We are excited to offer you an expanded opportunity to boost your education and certification to a higher level: Yoga Loka's New 300-Hour Teacher Training Focusing on Mindfulness and the Therapeutic Benefits and Elements of Yoga will begin late April 2019. Our program offers an opportunity to complete the coursework in just one year. Custom designed for those who currently teach yoga, also valuable for those who don't, this 300-hour training invites you to explore the deeper aspects of Yoga, encourages you to refine your personal practice and prepares you to serve specialized populations more skillfully, knowledgably, and compassionately.

The 300-hour YTT is an additional 300 hours of instruction in the form of in-person weekend workshops, online group check-ins on Zoom (some courses also available online), and weekend retreats. Topics will include mindfulness meditation, anatomy, Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, pranayama, asana and hands on adjustments and modifications, yin & restorative yoga both physical and subtle bodies, refinement of teaching skills, communication, and personal spiritual growth.

We have revised our extensive 300-hour training has been revised to focus on the Therapeutic elements of yoga and deepening Mindfulness, merging the ancient teachings with current science. You will be guided by Master Teachers through specialty workshops and mentoring groups to deepen your own practice and self-understanding plus learn ways to live your yoga, empowering yourself and others.

The YTT-300 will consist of required monthly weekend (generally, the last weekend of each month), plus online monthly Zoom calls, and other online and recorded trainings and practices. Of special note, we provide mentoring and study opportunities which are intended to promote community among 300 hour trainees, to give you the opportunity to learn from each other, to allow you share your passions and expertise, and to provide a platform for study of practice technique, yoga philosophy, history, teaching technique and ethics.Additionally, we promote the opportunity to retreat: you will choose (from anywhere) either two weekend retreats, or a one week long retreat, that matches your interests and time frame.

Prerequisites for this course:

  • Graduation from a Yoga Alliance Approved 200-Hour Training Required
  • Plus a minimum of 100 hours teaching experience

The 300-hour coursework can be completed in one year.

Graduates of the 300-Hour program, in combination with a Yoga Alliance approved YTT200 training, will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-500 level.

Investment (costs):

A. Tuition

The full cost of the training is $4800

Discounted tuition is $4650, if paid in full by cash or check before April 1

Minimum of $2500 must be paid with application. Payments may be made on the remaining $2300 tuition and must be paid in full by October 31 of your training year.

Tuition includes a $250 non-refundable application fee which of course, will be refunded should you not be accepted into the program, and is non-refundable if you are accepted into the program but choose not to continue).

Tuition covers 240 contact hours plus 31 non-contact hours supervision & evaluation.  What is NOT covered in this tuition amount is 30 hours of retreat time (two weekend retreats that you choose).

No tuition will be refunded once the training begins
