Brand New to Yoga?
Yoga is a transformational practice for the body, mind, and spirit. We are honored that you are thinking about starting your journey at Yoga Loka. We recommend starting with a Yoga Basics series or in a Foundations class (see below).

Yoga Loka offers an introductory course taught in six-week sessions, introducing the principles, philosophy, movements, breathing and relaxation techniques of yoga. Designed specifically for the new student or for those who would like a refresher. Pre-registration is required. A yoga mat is required (available for purchase $25-35). Our Foundations and New to Yoga classes are on-going and are perfect for beginners or for anyone wanting detailed, compassionate, and light-hearted instruction in the foundation of yoga practice. Classes may include some flowing sequences, but the focus is on teaching the building blocks of practice – philosophy, skillful breath, basic postures, proper alignment, awareness and non-harming.
